Have you ever come to computer store and said “Sir, I want to buy computer with unlimited Hard Disk space and Memory Capacity. How much cost is that ?”. I guess their custmer service will say that he never heard a computer with unlimited hard disk and memory capacity.

If it is imposible, how web hosting services comes with unlimited space ? They use a feature called Overselling and base on asumption that their clients won’t consume their space limit.

Overselling feature allow hosting owner to sell space / bandwidth more than they have. For example a hosting company buy 50 GB (Giga Bytes) space and 500 GB bandwidth with overselling enable. They can sell to 50 clients each has 2 GB space and 40 GB of bandwidth. With a condition all clients space and bandwidth utilization in accumulation will not rearch 50 GB space and 500 GB bandwidth.

Usually web hosting service that offers unlimited space and bandwidth applies hard term of service to it’s customer. So be careful when you read Term Of Service.
